LLUK is responsible for the collection of Staff Individualised Record (SIR) data in England. This is a significant collection of workforce data in the FE college sector, providing a comprehensive overview of the profile of all staff working in FE colleges since 2001/02. It contains individualised data on demographics characteristics, qualifications, location, pay and other factors. The data has real value for the sector as a whole.
The collection of workforce data falls into Priority 1 of the Workforce Strategy: Understanding the nature of the workforce. As the Sector Skills Council for the whole FE sector, LLUK is committed to gathering the necessary information to better inform future decisions that will affect the whole sector. LLUK is therefore also investigating data collection for adult and community learning (ACL) and work based learning (WBL) providers.
