Workforce Race Advisory Group
The Workforce Race Advisory Group (WRAG) grew out of the Commission for Black Staff in Further Education as an advisory body for the Department for Education and Skills (DfES) - now the Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills (DIUS). It was set up to ensure the leaders of national partner organisations and learning providers had a mechanism to advise the DfES on the issues of race equality as they impact on the sector's workforce.
WRAG collectively ensures that the Commission for Black Staff in Further Education continues to shape and inform workforce development across the system by:
- challenging racism
- breaking down barriers for black staff and
- raising the achievement level of all who work and learn in the FE system.
Membership:
- Association of Colleges
- Association of Learning Providers
- Black Leadership Initiative
