NATECLA Annual Conference
11 July 2008 University of Warwick, Coventry, CV4 7AL
Lifelong Learning UK's Information and Advice Service will be at the National Association for Teaching English and other Community Languages to Adults (NATECLA) 'Values and Vision' national conference on the 11th, 12th and 13th July.
With workshops and speakers covering a wide range of practical and theoretical themes, the conference offers delegates the chance to discuss the latest developments in the teaching of English for speakers of other languages (ESOL), air their own views and take part in networking opportunities.
Representatives from LLLUK's Information and Advice Service will be on hand on the 12 July to answer questions and offer free, confidential advice to any one working or looking to work in the lifelong learning sector. The Information and Advice Service stand will be staffed by a National Reference Point (NRP) Skills for Life specialist adviser, who can answer any questions you may have about the qualifications and training available to ESOL teachers, including continued professional development, what the reform of initial teacher, tutor, trainer education since September 2007 means for teachers of ESOL and other Skills for Life areas, and the financial incentives on offer to new entrants.
You can contact LLUK's Information and Advice Service by telephoning 020 7936 5798 or emailing advice@lluk.org.
More information about the NATECLA conference is available on the NATECLA website.
