Strategic priorities

Lifelong Learning UK (LLUK's) specific and unique role is pivotal to enabling the skills supply system to increase in quality and capacity to meet the challenges set across the UK. Hence LLUK's strategic priorities at the current time can be summarised as follows:

  • to improve productivity, business and public service performance
  • to increase opportunities to boost the skills and productivity of everyone in the sector
  • to improve learning supply
  • to improve LLUK's performance and delivery.

  • to secure and interpret accurate and authoritative labour market information and intelligence relevant to our employers
  • to promote careers in the sector and improve recruitment and retention
  • to increase investment in skills
  • to drive leadership and management development within the sector
  • to increase the diversity of the workforce
  • to build and maintain the standards based Sector Qualifications Strategy
  • to build the capacity and capability of the sector
  • to ensure internal systems and procedures support effective performance and delivery.
