Assessment strategy for Addressing literacy, language, numeracy and ICT needs in education and training: the minimum core

The Department of Innovation, Universities and Skills (DIUS) and Lifelong Learning UK (LLUK) continue to work with partners to develop an assessment strategy for personal skills in literacy, language and numeracy, detailed in the minimum core. 
 
The feasibility of assessing the new strand, information and communication technologies (ICT), is being considered. It is intended that the assessment of personal skills will form part of professional formation for those seeking qualified status.
