SIR data collection 2007-08
Lifelong Learning UK is managing the primary data collection, data cleansing, collation, analysis and reporting of the SIR data collection process in the further education (FE) sector for the academic year 2007/08 (SIR 16).
LLUK is working with data partner, Texuna Technologies, and has developed a new data collection system to undertake the SIR collection from the larger FE sector for the academic year 2007/08. The new system is now open for collection as of 01 August until 01 November 2008. LLUK have consulted with the sector and the SIR collection period has been extended accordingly to coincide with college term times.
LLUK and Texuna Technologies support the sector's request for self-regulation and have taken measures to ensure that the SIR data collection system is a user friendly and interactive tool. The validation system will prompt colleges to confirm that the data submitted is an accurate reflection of the data held on the college HR systems and there is a dashboard facility to allow users to generate individual reports from their data.
A support desk service and full guidance are available to aid colleges through the process.
Usernames and passwords have been issued to colleges. To begin your college's submission:
- Visit the online SIR data collection system
- Download the Guidance for the Collection of SIR Data (2007/2008)
