Archive workforce survey - England
LLUK is currently carrying out a study to learn about staff working in the archives sector in England. The study will provide essential information on the profile of staff working in this sector and the results from this study will inform future research, which will allow LLUK to make recommendations on how training requirements can be best met within the sector as a whole.
LLUK is working in partnership with the Museums, Libraries and Archives Council, which is helping to fund this research. This important study is also supported by organisations such as the Society of Archivists and the Association of Chief Archivists in Local Government.
LLUK would like to thank all organisations, which have completed the survey, as well as those, which are supporting this study.
The England survey closed on 17th August, 2007. The survey data is currently being analysed and the report will be published shortly.
Further information about the study can be obtained by contacting Zeeshan Rahman by email or by telephoning 020 7936 5759.
