The Lifelong Learning UK Information and Advice Service is a free service staffed by experienced practitioners and teacher trainers. The service offers confidential specialist advice on all aspects of working in the lifelong learning sector.

What does the lifelong learning sector mean?

Also often referred to as the Adult Learning Sector, The Learning and Skills Sector or the Post Compulsory Sector.  The Lifelong Learning workforce covers those people working in career guidance, community learning and development, further education, higher education, libraries, archives and information services and work based learning across the UK.

Please note: We cannot arrange places on training courses, or employment positions, nor can we offer in-depth careers guidance, but we can point you in the right direction to find these things.
