ESOL, literacy or numeracy

To teach ESOL in the lifelong learning sector, you need to work towards two qualifications.

  • An SVUK endorsed teaching qualification for the lifelong learning sector
  • An SVUK endorsed subject specific qualification for Adult ESOL

You also need to show that your personal skills in your specific subject are at Level 3 (equivalent to A Level).
