Apprenticeships and foundation degrees
Apprenticeships
Lifelong Learning UK (LLUK) is responsible for establishing and maintaining apprenticeship frameworks for the lifelong learning workforce across the UK. This involves working with our employers to develop frameworks, promoting them and then keeping them up to date. In Scotland LLUK also has the responsibility of registering centres and registering and certificating Modern Apprentices. For more details please go to Apprenticeships in the Lifelong Learning Sector
Foundation Degrees
Sector Skills Councils have a duty to ensure that qualifications including Foundation Degrees, available in their sector are appropriate and enable people to develop careers. LLUK is working with a number of partners and stakeholders including Foundation Degree Forward to achieve this aim. For more details please go to Foundation Degrees in the Lifelong Learning Sector.
