This document details inclusive learning approaches for literacy, language, numeracy and ICT and offers practical suggestions and sources of further information to support teachers in addressing the literacy, language, numeracy and ICT needs of learners.

The document should be used in conjunction with: Addressing literacy, language, numeracy and ICT needs in education and training: Defining the minimum core of teachers' knowledge, understanding and personal skills.

It describes the skills, knowledge and understanding that all teachers need to support learner achievement, based on the New overarching professional standards for teachers, tutors and trainers in the lifelong learning sector.
