OLAP Reporting
What is OLAP Reporting?
Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) Reporting is an online analysis tool to enable learning providers to benchmark their organisation against sector standards and develop strategies for improvement. Lifelong Learning UK has launched the new OLAP reporting tool which means that, for the first time, colleges - and other providers who submit data - will be able to benchmark information about their own workforce against that of the sector and use the data for a variety of different uses providing them with immediate benefits.
How you can benefit from OLAP Reporting?
As an employer using OLAP Reporting, you will be able to:
- See how your own organisation compares to the further education sector as a whole;
- See how your own workforce profile compares to that of your local community;
- Measure change through year-on-year trend analyses;
- Provide evidence to support Ofsted inspections;
- Better monitor your own Equality and Diversity data in order to comply with legislation;
- Collate evidence to demonstrate how they are developing your own workforce in response to workforce reforms;
- Provide evidence to support 'Investors in People';
- Support your own self regulation;
- Access to your own organisation's unpublished data during the collection period and
-
Save new or pre-defined reports for review at a later date or for distribution within your organisations.
Accessing OLAP Reporting
OLAP Reporting can be accessed securely via the workforce data collection site https://sirdatacollection.lluk.org/ and is available to all organisations who have submitted their workforce data. As workforce data collection continues under Lifelong Learning UK, future years' data will be made accessible via OLAP Reporting, allowing learning providers to produce year-on-year trend analyses. To help you get the most from OLAP Reporting, guidance materials are available to users along with a demonstration video showing the OLAP tool in use.
