Learner needs - professional development

Identifying learner needs and initial assessment are both critical first stages of The Learning Journey. Effective practice at this stage will clarify learner needs and also identify opportunities to support skills development throughout the learning programme.

Developing further expertise in this area will contribute to the confidence and effectiveness of individual teachers, and the quality of learning. There are a number of accredited and non-accredited professional development opportunities available.
