Consultation
The Workforce Strategy for the Further Education Sector in England(2007-2012) was developed through a collaborative consultation process from July to December 2007. Lifelong Learning UK invited all parts of the sector to play an active part in shaping and developing the first workforce strategy for the sector.
Since then consultations with the whole sector have continued in order to ensure that the strategy remains relevant and to identify information and tools that will help the sector implement the strategy.
Lifelong Learning UK has a continuing dialogue with national partners to identify and co-ordinate projects and activities that will support the implementation of the workforce strategy. National partners meet on a regular basis to review their provision of support to the sector.
Lifelong Learning UK also welcomes continued involvement of sector employers in commenting on the strategy and sharing good practice on implementation.
It is only with the continued involvement of the whole sector that Lifelong Learning UK can gain a full understanding of the needs of sector employers in implementing the strategy and help to advise national partners on the effectiveness of their combined efforts.
Lifelong Learning UK would like to thank sector employers, their staff and national partners for their invaluable support and efforts in developing the workforce strategy.
