Equality and Diversity Stakeholder Groups

Lifelong Learning UK (LLUK) plays an active part in a range of influential groups within the sector, which promote equality and diversity.

  • Workforce Race Advisory Group
    The Workforce Race Advisory Group (WRAG) grew out of the Commission for Black Staff in Further Education as an advisory body for the Department for Education and Skills (DfES). LLUK is a member of WRAG and provides the secretariat for WRAG on behalf of the sector.
  • Disability Equality Implementation Group (DEIG)
    The Disability Equality Implementation Group (DEIG) grew out of the report "From Compliance to Culture Change - Disabled Staff Working in Lifelong Learning" published by the Commission on Disabled Staff in Lifelong Learning in March 2008. DEIG brings together sector partners in order to implement the recommendations highlighted in the report. LLUK is a member of DEIG and provides the secretariat for DEIG on behalf of the sector.
  • Equality and Diversity Online Toolkit
    The Equality and Diversity online toolkit is a central online resource packed full of useful support, guidance and information on implementing equality and diversity in the workplace. As a Sector Skills Council and part of the Skills for Business Network, LLUK was involved in the development of the toolkit.
