Welcome to Lifelong Learning UK (LLUK) in the West Midlands.
The lifelong learning workforce in the West Midlands is estimated to consist of at least 59,243 staff. (This figure does not include those working in work based learning, parts of the community learning and development sector or volunteers and is based on standard industry classification codes.) Included in this figure are staff working in:
- 13 higher education institutions
- 47 further education providers
- 222 work based learning LSC contracts
- 36 adult and community learning LSC contracts and
- approximately 3,787 staff working in libraries, archives and information services.
