Welcome to Lifelong Learning UK (LLUK) in the South West.
The lifelong learning workforce in the South West is estimated to consist of at least 62,846 staff. (This figure does not include those working in work based learning, parts of the community learning and development sector or volunteers and is based on standard industry classification codes.) Included in this figure are staff working in:
- 14 higher education institutions
- 33 further education providers
- 113 work based learning providers
- 35 local authority adult and community learning providers and
- approximately 4,403 staff working in libraries, archives and information services.
