Welcome to Lifelong Learning UK (LLUK) in the Greater London area.
The lifelong learning workforce in the Greater London area is estimated to consist of at least 106,930 staff. (This figure does not include those working in work based learning, parts of the community learning and development sector or volunteers and is based on standard industry classification codes.) Included in this figure are staff working in:
- 40 higher education institutions
- 95 further education (FE) providers
- 213 work based learning providers
- 54 local authority adult and community learning providers and
- approximately 7,843 staff working in libraries, archives and information services.
