The work of LLUK in Scotland
LLUK is responsible for workforce planning and for leading professional development in a workforce of approximately 155,500 staff in Scotland across the following five areas of the lifelong learning sector:
- community learning and development (CLD), including community based learning, community development, youth work, family learning and working with parents
- Scotland's colleges
- higher education (HE)
- libraries, archives and information services (LAIS)
- work based learning (WBL).
