Influencing policy across the UK

The background to LLUK's work is the key policies published by the UK government and the governments of the four nations to reshape their skills supply systems, as follows:

Liaison with decision-makers, including national governments, is a key aspect of LLUK's role. Jane Davidson AM, Welsh Assembly Government Minister for Education, Lifelong Learning and Skills, said:

"...we plan to move towards a professional development framework for the whole teaching and learning workforce in Wales ... I want to work closely with LLUK in taking this agenda forward."

Lifelong Learning UK (LLUK) is extremely active in lobbying and influencing the UK and European governments on all matters relating to lifelong learning and affecting the development of our workforce.

You can shape the feedback given by LLUK to our governments by participating in current consultations about our workforce. This will enable us to support you and your colleagues by raising key issues in the sector and ensuring sufficient planning for the future.

For information about how you can assist LLUK to make your voice heard in the corridors of power, please view our Current Policy Consultations pages in the England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales sections.

To download our responses to policy consultations since 2005, please view the LLUK Policy Responses pages in the England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales sections.
